Whole Body Cryotherapy exposes your body to sub-zero temperatures for 3 minutes to trigger your natural fight-or-flight response. This causes vasoconstriction and releases oxygen-rich, anti-inflammatory blood once you exit the chamber—leading to pain relief, recovery, and rejuvenation.

How Cryotherapy Works (The Science Behind It)
Whole Body Cryotherapy exposes your body to sub-zero temperatures for 3 minutes, activating a powerful cold stress response. This stimulates thermogenesis, releases endorphins, and reduces inflammation. The body floods with oxygen-rich blood, boosting stamina, pain relief, and cellular repair.
Step 1
Liquid nitrogen is used to lower the skin’s surface temperature quickly and safely.
Step 2
Your body enters thermogenesis, triggering endorphin release and systemic inflammation reduction.
Step 3
Post-session, your system is flushed with reoxygenated blood—leading to increased energy, improved recovery, better mood, and enhanced sleep.

Who should not use Whole Body Cryotherapy?
The following conditions are contraindications to whole body cryotherapy: Pregnancy, severe Hypertension (BP> 180/100), acute or recent myocardial infarction, unstable angina pectoris, arrhythmia, symptomatic cardiovascular disease, cardiac pacemaker, peripheral arterial occlusive disease, venous thrombosis, acute or recent cerebrovascular accident, uncontrolled seizures, Raynaud’s Syndrome, fever, tumor disease, symptomatic lung disorders, bleeding disorders, severe anemia, infection, claustrophobia, cold allergy, age less than 18 years (parental consent to treatment needed), acute kidney and urinary tract diseases.
Is cryotherapy comfortable?
The cryotherapy treatment is of short, 3-minute session and the cold air is ‘dry’, so it is very tolerable. Towards the end of the treatment, you may get a ‘pins and needles’ sensation, which disappears almost immediately after the treatment.
Can cryotherapy improve sleep and mood?
Yes, the overwhelming majority of people experience improvement in their sleep cycles. It also is a natural mood booster that can help relieve stress, anxiety & depression with the release of endorphins when you exit the chamber.
How do I feel afterwards?
During each 3-minute session the body releases endorphins. The endorphins help mask pain, make you feel full of energy and elevate your mood.
How many cryotherapy sessions do I need?
Depending on your needs, we typically recommend 3-5 sessions in a week to maximize your results. After that, we recommend “listening” to your body to judge the effectiveness of the response and we can help tailor a program specific to your needs.
What are the risks of whole body cryotherapy?
Whole body cryotherapy is well-tolerated and has minimal risks. You may see a fluctuation in blood pressure during the procedure by up to 10 points (this effect reverses after the end of the procedure). Other risks include redness and skin burn, claustrophobia and in rare cases, allergic reaction to extreme cold.
